Looking For Inspiration.

I tried looking for inspiration in the crevice of happiness,
from the soft touch of your skin
to the tenderness of your kisses that I yearn for again and again,
but I learned my mistake
because all good things come to an end.
My inspiration streams from heartbreak,
and a flood of loneliness
that washes me to an ocean of madness.

  1. Well done! I think this holds true for many of us. I’m always more creative when in a funk than when I’m blissfully happy. I wonder if that’s why depression is so common amongst creatives as well as substance/alcohol abuse.
